University of Niagara Falls Canada partners with University of Law

We are pleased to share that University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) and University of Law (ULaw) have partnered to work together on a number of strategic partnerships. Cyndi McLeod, Board Director for the University of Niagara Falls Canada and CEO of GUS Canada and Vassilis Konstantinou, Pro Vice Chancellor, International at ULaw signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formally recognise the collaboration.

The partnership will provide the opportunity for the exchange of scholars, education administrators, professional staff members, students, and academic information and training between the Institutions. By establishing such exchanges, the educational services and training activities at ULaw and UNF will be enhanced with greater mutual understanding.

The city of Niagara Falls is proudly transforming the Higher Education landscape in Ontario with the launch of a new University operated by Global University Systems Canada (GUS Canada). As the newest University in Canada, UNF is ready to offer world-class, digitally minded education from the heart of Niagara Falls. The Mayor of Niagara Falls, Jim Diodati announced that the University will be ready to welcome new students in 2024, following the Government of Ontario's approval.

A delegation from ULaw, consisting of Vassilis Konstantinou and Tatiana Rizopoulou, Director of International Partnerships, attended the formal announcement and launch where they had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Niagara Falls Jim Diodati and the Ontario Minister of Colleges and Universities Jill Dunlop.

Cyndi McLeod acclaimed, “As the University of Niagara Falls Canada puts down roots in the region, I am pleased to be able to formally announce the partnership between our newest university in Canada and a member of our larger GUS Global ecosystem, ULaw. This partnership is a testament to the strength of the collaborative power across Global University Systems and the incredible value it offers our students and our communities. ULaw is well-known for helping students develop into the contemporary and highly professional leaders of tomorrow. The practices and pathways provided by this partnership agreement will help the future students of UNF with networking, mentoring, and employment opportunities on a global scale.”

Vassilis Konstantinou said: “Congratulations to Cyndi McLeod of GUS Canada and her amazing team who was described by the Mayor as forces of Nature for their persistence for this remarkable achievement. The University of Law is looking forward to continuing our collaboration with GUS Canada and is thrilled to have become UNF’s first partner in what we believe will be for a fruitful collaboration for many years to come.”
